As a member of the board of directors for The D.A.R.E BC Society, Mike Shekhtman is committed to social responsibility and the future of our local youth. The D.A.R.E BC Society is a registered charitable organization whose purpose is to empower the children of British Columbia with the life skills necessary to avoid substance abuse and violence. By nurturing critical thought processes and responsible decision-making skills, D.A.R.E BC has been very successful in educating the young people in our local communities. This is accomplished through the provision of community-based prevention, education and awareness programs and initiatives to children, parents and the community. Mike works with D.A.R.E BC to help increase corporate sponsorships so that the mission and vision of the organization can thrive and the message of social awareness can continue to expand.
